Place: Gunma Astronomical Observatory

Gunma Astronomical Observatory were founded as a corporeal cultural asset of Gunma prefecture.
It aims to promote public education and research efforts, setting up a new base of astronomy.
As an astronomical observation facility for public use and a research institute, it will carry out the activities by making full use of equipment such as a telescope 150cm in aperture and near-infrared observation system.
It is located on the ridge of Mt.Komochi in Takayama village, Agagtsuma county, Gunma prefecture, at elevations above 885m.
