The shooting stars occur 100 meter above the ground, so we can reproduce theimages of popping out stars and twisting shooting traces to look more solidand real by composing images from two stations that are few kilometers away each other. See here for the principal of the detail explanation of thesolid view.
After bright shooting stars pass by, the plasma air remains more than fewminutes like a could. This is carried out by an upper air current. The shapeof the shooting star trace changes by the direction or velocity of the wind,so you can see variety of the upper air current that usually you cannot see.
