We hope you enjoy it !!

We would like to express our appreciation for your interest and support for our live program. In the afternoon of February 16th, our transmission crew of LIVE!ECLIPSE Executive Committee succeeded in capturing the spectacular annular eclipse under the clear sky of Mullewa, Australia. As it got closer to the annularity, not only Venus but also Jupiter became visible with the naked eyes. We could even see the lights flowing over the rim of the moon like a pearl necklace at the moment of the third contact. We faced some undesirable incidents, too. The worst was that our white-light telescope were blown away by the strong wind during the live program. Although we could manage continue the broadcast by using H-alpha telescope instead, we feel sorry for having had to give up the transmission of white light images. Lastly, we would like to extend special thanks to the people in Australia for their great help. Looking forward to seeing you all again at the August 11, 1999 total eclipse!
