The largest difference is that corona and prominence can be seen in a total solar eclipse.The brightest corona has almost the same brightness as a full moon, but streamers in a perl color is extreamly beautiful. Some people says total solar eclipse is the most beautiful phenomenon in this world. Prominence can be seen everytime by solar prominence adapter, but corona cannot be seen by the adapter. At a total eclipse, both pink prominence and perl corona can be seen at once in wonderful contrast. Diamond ring, shadow cone, shadow band, and orange sky on the horizen can be seen only at a total eclipse. You may understand how wnderful a total eclipse is, compared with annular eclipse. Total solar eclipse is a very exciting phenomenon. |
